Boris Benedikter was born in Rome, Italy. He received his bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering in 2016, his master’s degree in space engineering in 2018, and his PhD in aeronautical and space engineering in 2022 from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Tennessee's Autonomous Systems Lab in Knoxville from March to July 2021 and a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome from May 2022 to April 2023.

His research focuses on the optimization of spacecraft and rocket trajectories by means of convex programming techniques, model predictive control, machine learning, and stochastic optimal control. At the Space4 Center, Boris is also contributing to the development of innovative orbit determination algorithms.
