Current research: Orbit determination and space object characterization for SSA
Yael Brynjegard-Bialik is from Los Angeles, CA, and began her PhD work in aerospace engineering at the University of Arizona in 2024, with a minor in systems engineering. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2023. During her undergraduate career, she did research in astrophysics areas as well as quantum mechanics. She is now focusing on orbit determination and space object characterization. Yael is also a student pilot and aspires to join the astronaut program once she completes her PhD.
