During his keynote today at the 4th International Academy of Astronautics Conference on Space Situational Awareness in Florida, Roberto Furfaro discussed how he and his students in the Space Systems Engineering Laboratory and Space4 Center are harnessing the power of AI, machine learning and light curves to better track and characterize objects in orbit in cislunar space—the space between and around the Earth and moon—to help ensure space safety and security.
